View of the 10th AHB barracks from the hanger across the street.
The newly formed companies of the 10th AHB received brand-new CUCV pickup trucks. This photo was taken as the unit members chosen to drive the trucks from the port at Bremerhaven back to Illesheim arrive home. These same vehicles remained with us as we disbanded the 10th AHB and reformed the 1-1 CAV in Katterbach. The vehicles were driven during ground operations in Desert Storm and remained in Saudi Arabia after the war.
