504th Aviation Battalion (Source: Carl Broberg) During the winter of 1965/66 one of the H-34 Choctaw helicopters of the 504th Aviation Battalion landed on the parade field at the kaserne in Heilbronn. The helicopter and crew spent two days at this location. The photo shows my younger self posing against the landing gear. I was assigned to the 26th Signal Bn at that time.
