7th Transportation Group (Photo submitted by James Allen, Hq Co, 7th Trans Gp) HHC, 7th Trans Gp and Group aircraft at a field site during Operation Springboard. The field site was an airfield (probably Griesheim) near Darmstadt. It was a German Labor Service camp which was unoccupied at that time and the soldiers got to sleep in barracks. There was also a Stars & Stripes publishing facility across the road from the airfield. (April or May 1964)
