Here is a picture I treasure because I spent a lot of time with two of these gentlemen besides my father. The three of us used to go skiing quite a lot at nearby ski areas. A couple of them had very interesting lives themselves. (Additional comments further below.)

Left to right:
1. Lt. Pearce "Rocky" Lane (Olympic Boxer and one of my ski chaperones, brother of Kenny Lane a champion boxer, himself))
2. -- no recall
3. Capt. Willie Dyer, XO and an another Signal Officer who served with dad at Ft. Huachuca. In WWII, he flew a glider into Normandy.
4. Dad: Capt. J.P. "Pat" Smith
5. Capt. Lewis, My father's favorite officer of what he considered a very good group of officers. He often asked me to go along with him and Lt. Pearce to ski. A real role model and mentor to me.
6. -- no recall
