The ship in this picture appears to be an Army beach discharge lighter (the US Army Vessel Lt Col John Page?). This vessel performed the same role as the Navy's LTS's. Photo shows a tractor trailer of the 78th Trans Co (106th Trans Bn) disembarking over the bow ramp.
