Sampigny Chemical Depot

This is one of my favorite photos of the place -- it brings to mind cool autumn evenings. Looking west to the town fo Sampigny, from the E.M. Club.
In the air is smoke from the coal heaters that were located in each tent.
 
The motor pool area on a winter's day 1953-1954. The long building in the center housed the Mechanical Shop, Wood Working Shop, etc.
The long building on the far right (background) is the Administration Building. All were heated with coal buring heaters (pot bellied stoves).
