Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 559th Engineer Service Battalion,
activated on 2 December 1946 in Germany
Inactivated 1 September 1947 in Germany Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 559th Engineer Battalion, activated on 9 June 1969 in Germany. In the 1980s, the Battalion was assigned to the 130th Engineer Brigade and stationed at Pionier Kaserne, Hanau, Germany. At that time the Battalion was composed of  814th Float Bridge
Company 516th
Medium Girder Bridge Company 568th
Combat Support Engineer Company. A fourth company, the 567th Engineer Company (ADM), was deactivated 15 Feb 1986. Inactivated 16 May 1986 in Germany Reestablished 8 March 1990 as the 559th Engineer Battalion (Prov) in Hanau, Germany Inactivated 15 October 1992 in Hanau, Germany |
