I took this shot in September 1978 while on a business trip to the Nurnberg area. Not much had changed    
     
   
This view of the main gate was taken in approximately August 1970, shortly after my arrival at Merrell. I was originally assigned to the 6/10th in Bamburg and was transferred to Merrell immediately after I arrived in country in July 1970. I spent a month in Grafenwohr and then moved down to Nurnberg.
