47th Medical Detachment (HA) (Photo submitted by Bill McKee) An aerial shot of 47th Med Det hanger at top center. This is hanger #4. The center hanger, #3, with the elevation on it was the 42nd TAAM unit, the Hq bldg tower and parachute are on the upper end of this hanger. At lower left is the old hanger #2, originally the 3rd AVN CO hanger. At this time it is being used by the 66th Armor, 4 Armored Div as a tank park. Straight across from this hanger was the PX, Movie Theater, Barber Shop. Directly below the step of the H-34 is the Illesheim Bahnhof.
