175th Military Police Battalion, early 1950s (Source: Al Bien, 175th MP Bn, 1952-53) Nativity set at Fliegerhorst Kaserne, Böblingen. It was made by a guy in my company, don't remember his name. He made the 7ft tall figures, using 2x4's for the spine, chicken wire to form the shape and loads of 3in wide newspaper strips that were soaked in a paste made of flour and water and pasted over the wire form to shape the figures. After being shaped, dried and painted, they looked real.
