The 93rd Military Police Battalion was activated on 16 October 1986 in Germany.

The 93rd Military Police Battalion was reactivated at Frankfurt, Germany on October 16, 1986 - a year after having been designated as a provisional unit. The activation of the battalion was part of a theater-wide reorganization of USAREUR military police assets.

The 93rd was assigned to the 18th MP Brigade (activated in 1985) of V Corps and given the mission of providing command and control of several numbered MP companies.

On November 15, 1992, the 93rd Military Police Battalion was inactivated in Frankfurt - a victim of the Drawdown in USAREUR in the post-Cold War era.
