The 102nd Quartermaster Group, with home station at Brookly, N.Y., was federalized on 11 Septemer 1950.

On 1 February, 1955 the Group, while stationed at Metz, France, was released from active duty and the unit's colors returned to the US.

The 102nd Quartermaster Group arrived in Idar Oberstein from Fort Devens, on October 22, 1951.

The unit, commanded by Col Andrew J. Burke, operates the Nahbollenbach QM Depot in Germany.
