Here are some more snapshots of B-5 (La Bascule) being set-up in February of 1956. I thought some of these snaps were of D-3 (Poix-Terron), but the more I look at them, the more I realize that it is really B-5 because of the layout and proximity to the road in front. The work being shown in the snaps is either the original set-up of B-5 after the abandonment of D-3 OR the addition of dishes to the tower to transmit to 2 separate links. Personally, I think it is the original set-up. Unfortunately, only one of the snaps has a good picture of the tower. I was there from February 1956, through November 1957, so some of the memories still exist, even though some details are a bit foggy.

B-5 -- Everything is up and running! c. Feb 1956. Power units on the right. The roadway is about 100 feet straight ahead.

B-5 -- c. 1956 The tower only has two dishes, so the modification (4 dishes) has not taken place yet.
