Unidentified Photos #13 (Source: author's collection) Who can ID this Bahnhof in Germany? Not much is known about this photo except it shows a US Army ambulance car attached to a German DB dining car at an unidentified German train station. The train station is probably in southern Germany since that is where most of the hospital trains were operated. The ambulance car is one of the 65 (Type WLB4üm-52) sleeper/ambulance cars built in 1952 for the US Army Transportation Corps by Linke-Hofmann-Busch GmbH in Salzgitter, Germany. The photo (actually a 35mm slide) was probably taken in 1953-54.
